BRIDGING THE GAP
BETWEEN
CONCEPT
AND
REALITY .
ProtoStratus is a private Design and Prototyping office based in the Skagit Valley, Washington, dedicated to bridging the gap between complex concepts and high-performance physical assets for Western Washington’s marine, aerospace, and industrial sectors. By combining the operational agility and single-point technical accountability of a local specialist with disciplined quality management controls, we provide reverse-engineering and innovative design methodologies to solve critical hardware challenges. Through rigorous document control, rapid component reproduction, and a vetted regional supplier network, ProtoStratus delivers traceable, production-ready prototypes that minimize equipment downtime and drive industrial reliability.
Services Offered
01. OEM Component Reverse Engineering
Taking worn, hard-to-source, or undocumented physical parts into digital twins and functional replacements for laboratory, marine, and industrial machinery.
02. Prototype Design & Rapid Fabrication
Turning concept geometry into physical assets using advanced additive manufacturing (high-performance FDM and SLA resins) and rapid production workflows.
03. Parametric CAD Modeling & Editing
Generating and modifying 3D parametric models, surface mesh repair, Design for Manufacturability (DFM) adjustments, and neutral STEP/IGES file delivery.
04. Small Assembly Procurement & Integration
Sourcing, inspecting, and integrating multi-component hardware units through vetted regional supply partners across Washington State.
05. On-Site Technical Consultation
Direct, on-site evaluations for replacement part fitment, material selection, component wear analysis, and process optimization directly at your facility.
